ALLAWE MAGAZINE LAUNCHED TO HIGHLIGHT PAN-CARIBBEAN CULTURE AND CREATIVITY - July 17, 2008

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Washington, DC) – Allawe Magazine, a tri-annual publication dedicated to promoting pan-Caribbean culture and creativity launched with its first publication this month. Allawe was created and designed by Robert Lewis, a native
of Trinidad and Tobago.

“Allawe will merge an effective mix of art and culture and will bring youthful energy and mature insight into a lively and distinctive publication. It is driven by an overwhelming need to publicize the works of the very talented but yet lesser known artists of the Caribbean,” said Robert.

The mission of Allawe is to broaden the exposure of Caribbean creativity and to create an appreciation of art across both social and national boundaries of the Caribbean. The Articles are broad ranging and feature music and dance, design, film and theatre, photography, painting and sculpture, and fashion as well as the businesses that operate within these fields. Allawe documents and critiques the commercial, social, and environmental impacts of art in its various forms while applying visual intricacy and creativity.

“Allawe will establish and maintain an affinity with its readers through its broad editorial and graphic depth. In addition to featuring interviews with established artists, sample articles provide ideas for people in creative fields to protect their work, sell their ideas, and gain valuable knowledge about their industries,” stated Lewis.

By presenting classic, island creations in a contemporary way, Allawe illustrates that Caribbean art is unique. Featuring writers, photographers and new voices, Allawe’s aesthetic finish will propel readers into a visual realm that will make their magazine experience one that is never to be forgotten.

Allawe will be available throughout the United States and Caribbean.
